Linux is better for programming? My Opinion

Alright, lets see how useful is Linux for programming. Do you really need to know how to use it being a computer science. What we need to understand is that Linux is just an operating system, what makes it special is the open source community that maintains it. With open source projects, comes great documentations and better security. Its fair enough to say Linux is the most used server operating system. Architecture of Linux is very versatile, installing native Linux shells is easy for most devices.

If you want to be a programmer don't worry as it is not necessary that you should know how to use Linux but instead if you know how to use Linux you can have advantage of an open environment to code in multiple languages, have more IDEs (integrated development environments), use more frameworks, use virtual containers like docker to deploy your real world problem solving  applications on the cloud services like google.

The installation process might look complicated in beginning but once you know Linux system structure, everything will become easier. If you are starting off, ubuntu is a good entry level Linux distro. Before starting off with Linux its good to know about the lingo used throughout Linux community.

If you have any questions on same, I would be glad to share more knowledge :)
